The Morene del Garda School Network joined the Life Safeguard Committee, helping the dissemination of project objectives and stimulating knowledge of environmental issues and participation of young students in actions to safeguard the Garda area.

The school network Moraines of Garda was born in February 2008 by the will of a group of passionate teachers who considered the Garda environment their common home. The school association, which includes four high schools in the Lower Garda area, has been proposed since the first year of activity as a planning center for environmental and sustainable education. In a short time, the teachers of the network created a real community of practices, capable of launching research-action projects.
One of the first activated projects, called Garda: knowledge of the territory for sustainable development for a two-year period (2008-2010) about one hundred students of the institutes of the network to study the morphology of the lake, to investigate its geological characteristics and seismic risk. In the following years, the activated projects focused on the issues of environmental pollution and good practices relating to separate waste collection. Always supported by valuable collaborators and experts at an international level, the Morene del Garda network obtained certification at the end of the 2010-2011 school year. Eco-Schools of the Foundation For Environmental Education (FEE) for the promotion of good practices within the school environment.
