15 months have passed since the official launch of the project Life SaveWATCH, the campaign of environmental empowerment which has as its object the Lake Garda, a beautiful but fragile territory.
The project, conceived by the CAUTO Social Cooperative, received funding from the European LIFE program and will come alive in spring 2023 and see the flourishing of a series of initiatives dedicated to citizenship: the climate change in all its facets, the territory and the planet's resources to be protected and preserved will be the subject of the next scheduled events.
The April 22nd inaugurates In praise of the limit: an exhibition created in collaboration with the Municipality of Desenzano del Garda and the7milamiglia association, with the aim of making visitors reflect on the importance of one for the near future active safeguard of the territories we live in. The photographic images of the project H2oPLANET on display, as well as the documentary film AQ*A – H2oPLANET EUROPE by the7MML Cultural Association invite us to reflect on the effects of climate changes and on environmental impacts generated by man in the environment in which he lives.
It's time to find a new balance and inaugurate one new era of peaceful coexistence between Man and the Environment. In praise of the limit, through the language of art, exhorts us all to give life together to something new cultural renaissance, at the basis of which lies the importance of a ecological culture. During the exhibition period, from 22 April to 28 May, the exhibition will be accessible free of charge at the GB Bosio Civic Gallery of Desenzano del Garda. at local schools interactive workshops and environmental education courses will be dedicated to deepening the theme.
The approach to the exhibition was anticipated by the flourishing on the territory of a widespread exhibition of site-specific works, made with only recovery and recycling material and installed in 4 different Lake Garda municipalities: Desenzano del Garda, San Felice del Benaco, Padenghe sul Garda and San Felice. The art project site specific re-interprets the concept of Land Art as ecological art, creating a virtuous engagement with the key principles of sustainability and the circular economy. A simple art, destined to perish over time.
Barbara Crimella, Daniela Gambolò, Emanuele Bertossi, Nicolas Vavassori, Fabio Racheli are the 5 artists called to interpret a single message: “Nature shows us more and more frequently that the "limit" has been crossed, it asks us to stop. It's time to find a new balance and usher in a new era of peaceful coexistence between Man and the Environment”.
